Online Classes at Qld Quilters
Thank you Lyn, much appreciated
It would be great to see week 31 arrive for this weekend, before weeks 32 starts. I work full time, and find the mystery quilt The motivation to escape and enjoy myself in my sewing room.
I have made block 4, twice, and as a novice, have found it the hardest block so far.
I used method 2 shown on the tutorials, but didn’t know about adding an extra 1″ then cutting and squaring up. I now realise This will account for my sewn HST’s not being long enough for the centre triangles. I was short about 1/4 to 3/4″,
The second time, I used method 1, sewed the two triangles, I was super scant on my seams but I still don’t really have a 6 1/5 unfinished block.
I have now watched the HST tutorials, and will maybe do this better for all the other HST’s as I’m sure there will be more, and perhaps I will do block 4 again.
Our Mystery Quilt contains 52 blocks, one for each week of 2020.
Each block is pieced and contains 4 colors – a dark color, a light color, a medium color and a bright color.
There is a sample block that you can download to try before the class begins.
We are also looking to offer some other courses, if there is enough interest
