Block 52 completed – now to the borders.
Thank you Lyn this has been fun. Mine will be very different to guidelines given.
As I chose to stash bust my colours from my Tula stash and only purchased the light and dark backgrounds.
I’m happy with the outcome.
Thank you
Merry Christmas
Maree Russell.
I happily just sewed the last block together. Phew….managed to just scrape in for 2020 and I have to admit to sewing 12 blocks this week to catch up. Amazing how they became easier as we went along improving our 1/4” seams, trimming exactly and you have to love starch to sit them beautifully. Thankyou Lyn for this wonderful 2020 challenge which I have really enjoyed. Now I wish I had constructed the rows as we went but I will get it done by October!! Dianne Hendriks
Yes Di I finished Block 52 this week too, and have been trying to keep up to date but other things took over. However I have finished the blocks and have enjoyed the challenge of what I thought to be a “Block of the Month”. I must admit I was down to scrappy bits for the light fabric in 52, and may have had to join some to achieve the result!
I aim to have these blocks into a quilt for a Feb birthday. Will try!!
Tank you Lyn for this inspiring way to learn some more skills while doing what we like best! Judy crosswell
Our Mystery Quilt contains 52 blocks, one for each week of 2020.
Each block is pieced and contains 4 colors – a dark color, a light color, a medium color and a bright color.
There is a sample block that you can download to try before the class begins.
We are also looking to offer some other courses, if there is enough interest
